Once upon a time there was Louise and her friend, the magician. But his last trick left a bitter taste in her mouth. He disappeared in a curtain of smoke… never to appear again. This is too much for the young woman. Devastated by endless grief, Louise is sent to a psychiatric asylum, resigned to the idea that she will swallow pills till the end of her days. Yet nine months later she gives birth to a child who is likely to have a big problem for his future class pictures, since he’s invisible. But Louise doesn’t care. He’s her angel and, wanting to protect him from this cruel world, she decides to keep his existence a secret. Years later, Louise’s angel has grown up. He even managed to find a girlfriend; Madeleine. The two become inseparable, for Madeleine never judges him. And for good reason: she’s blind.

D.N. Nagar Police are summoned to a Chawl where they arrest Abhay Chawla, who was recently discharged from jail after serving a two-year sentence for running over a man. While being held in the prison cell, Abhay reflects on his life - his acrimonious relationship with his mom, Aarati; brother Rohan; and Bhabi Priya. Not only did they never visit him in prison but they also moved without informing him. Upon being dramatically re-united, Rohan permits him to live with them and even hires him in his garage. Abhay brings a wheelchair-bound physically challenged woman, Sonal Mahajan, to a family gathering, and Rohan asks both to leave. Angel, from Ecuador, now lives in Paris where he is known as "Mujeron" (big woman). He used to be a boxer, but now she is a very big prostitute. Five long years have gone by and she has obtained French citizenship; so she decides to go back to South America to visit her family and her friends to whom she has been sending money to live by. Because of her new identity, she will have to face the harsh reality of her country and the lack of understanding from her family members, prejudice from people who used to know her as a man and, worst of all, the false solidarity from those who are in debt with her. For three years Sebastiano d'Ayala Valva followed the moving and disconcerting events in Angel's life. In 2007 she was one of the leading characters in his documentary Transvestites Also Cry presented the same year at the Turin GLBT Film Festival.
